As the remnants of Fay leave us mid-week, another storm is on the tropical horizon. Hurricane Gustav! This particular storm has greater potential to become a major hurricane by the end of the week, possibly the weekend. The National Hurricane Center has been changing their forecast to slide just south of Cuba, keeping it over the warm Gulf waters and emerging into the Gulf of Mexico. Lets just say....if you have vacation plans on the Gulf Coast next week, keep a close eye on this one!
Fay gave us a glancing blow, bringing up to 4 inches of rain in Murray, KY with reports of 2-3 inches in Almo and Cottage Grove. Gustav also has a chance of giving us some tropical rains...we'll wait on that one.
Here is an updated look at the forecast models and where each expects Gustav to go.

Will Gustav put a kink in your summer vacations plans or do you know anyone living on the Gulf Coast that may be impacted? Let me know about it, I'd love to hear your story!
